Studies show that as women age, our bodies become deficient in key vitamins.  Older women are known to be deficient in vitamins B1, B2, B5, D, and folic acid. Having the best intentions, and doing our best to consume a healthy diet, most of us do not get the adequate amounts of vitamins and minerals needed to maintain a healthy body. This is why taking a daily multivitamin is so important.

Vitamins and minerals help to prevent disease and provide support to most of our body functions. Human adults have trillions of cells that work together to keep us alive.  When our cells work efficiently, our body works efficiently.  This is why I, being a woman over 50, look for a multivitamin that supports bone, cellular, and heart health. My multivitamin of choice not only provides me with vitamins A, B, C, and D, but also helps support normal insulin response, improves blood flow for cardio support, enhances nutrient absorption, and aids in muscle and joint health and recovery.

Today, more than ever, it’s vitally important to have a strong immune system to protect us from contracting deadly viruses and to assist in our body’s recovery from contracted illnesses.  Our gut is home to 70 percent of our immune system. Therefore, having a balance of probiotics in our gut is essential to supporting immune response.  A good probiotic can also promote upper respiratory health.

I am a believer that finding good quality supplements is essential to a long healthy life.
